Reading books is one of my favorite pastime activities especially when I’m home alone, whenever I’m at a certain place with no wifi, or if I just wanted to get away from reality for just awhile. My favorite kind of book to read is usually a young adult genre because I can somewhat relate to it and it is not that overly dramatic although there are still a few tearjerker parts of the book which I really love because I sometimes just want to ugly cry and I also like it when I am able to feel what the characters felt like in the book that I am currently reading, it feels like I am also there with them. It’s amusing for me when I read books because I can really feel their emotions and it feels like I am also a part of their lives and living with them and I sometimes feel like I am the main character of the book that I am reading. How i wish. lol.
So my favorite books so far are the following:
- Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
I LOVE this book so much because I can really relate to it! Haha! I am a Kpop enthusiast and I have been ever since I was still in high school and this story just perfectly narrate what most fangirls feel (what I felt during that time). It wasn’t just about being a “fangirl” that got me so hooked up with this story, the main character of the book (Cath) is an introvert, I mean she’s really shy and just wants to be with her sister all the time and when they were already in college, Cath wasn’t able to adjust as quick as her sister did and it kind of got them into a huge fight, I won’t gonna go into too much detail because I don’t want to spoil anyone who hasn’t read it yet, but as I was saying, I could really relate to Cath because I am also somewhat shy and I don’t adjust that well to people around me although I am talkative and loud to the ones who are close to me, Cath and I are kind of the same in some way.
- One Day by Gayle Forman
I love how I wasn’t expecting the turn of events in this book. I also love how it gives me a lot of feels that I couldn’t even contain some of it that it eventually poured out of me through tears. Lol. Kidding aside, this book is really good, you should definitely read it, especially to those people who are into romantic stories but not cheesy enough to the point of making you cringe.
- To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
This book just gave me too much feels, I love it too much that when I started reading it I just couldn’t put it down and when I was done reading this book I didn’t realize that it was already six in the morning. True story. This book made me feel all sorts of emotions that it feels like I went back into being in high school, the story was really cute and I loved how the flow of the story went, and it was just my cup of tea. This book has a sequel but unfortunately I didn’t liked it that much, you can read it yourself for you to find out why I wasn’t into it. Lol.
Those are my Top 3 favorites, I still have a lot of favorite books that you guys might want to try, I’ll write about it some other time because I’m already sleepy right now (it’s currently 1:00 am here) and I just want to hit the sack and reunite with my comfy bed!
